Durham, Ontario
CPA Local Bylaws and Procedures for Regions C04 and C05
  1. Teams with correct dues will receive one bonus point provided that their scoring is done properly.
  2. Consistent incomplete or non-legible score sheets may result in loss of bonus point.
  3. There will be a service charge of $25.00 on all N.S.F. cheques for league fees.
  4. Any teams notified in writing of dues in arrears must bring all past dues in a zero balance that week or they will be considered dropped.
  5. Any team that forfeits all 5 matches (no show) will be considered dropped if the division representative or league office is not notified of their intent to continue 72 hours after the infraction.
  6. Complaints must be in writing regarding the skill level of any player. Then forwarded to the office for review (we will contact the H.R.C. and submit our recommendation or decision to them).
  7. The HRC will review players SL's after the 5th and 12th week of play, at which time they may make suggestions to the B.O.G. regarding the disqualification of teams or the deduction of team points. Prior to any action teams or players, in violation, will have the opportunity to voice their views on the situation to the B.O.G. and H.R.C. All decisions must be discussed with and agreed upon by the league office.
  8. If for any reason a team must re-schedule a match, the opposing team captain and the league office must be notified 72 hours prior to the scheduled night of play. Exception: funerals and weather.
  9. In order to be eligible to serve the B.O.G. or the H.R.C. a player must have a minimum of 3 sessions of play. Exception: New Divisions.
  10. DRESS CODE: All players of the CPA must be dressed in proper dress attire e.g.: pants, shorts, skirts, dresses, t-shirts, blouses, shirts, sweaters. All personal body parts of players must be covered in all stances of pool playing. There will not be any crop-tops, tube tops, bathing suites, of all types, mesh tops, or see through clothing. Failure to comply with rules may result in disciplinary action. Opponent can refuse to play and this will result in forfeit of 1 point for match. Repeat offenses can result in loss of 5 points for that night.
  11. Teams may play a player twice in a match...this may be done 3 times per session (fall and spring sessions). 5 times during the summer session. Whenever a team uses this option to double play, a number 1,2, or 3, will appear beside their team name to indicate the number of times the team has used this option. Anyone who exceeds the allowed number for that session will automatically forfeit all 5 points for that night. Your opposition will pick the player(s). Your opposition must agree to let you play a player twice. There will be no double plays during the last 4 weeks of the schedule. YOU MUST ALSO STAY WITHIN THE 23-RULE. DO NOT ABUSE THIS OPTION. This is only for the purpose of avoiding forfeits. If your opponent does not show up during the last 4 weeks of play of a session, there will be only 4 points awarded rather then 6 points for those matches.
  12. TIME OUTS: If the coach calls a time out, the player can refuse and no time out is charged. If the player calls a time out, that time out must be taken. If the coach refuses to take the time out, a time out will still be charged against that player.
  13. All teams who qualify for Regionals (LTC) must remain active during the summer session, (being active will mean at least 4 players from the regional team must be on a team roster).
  14. Teams that drop out after the 4th week of play will be charged for the balance that would have been paid had they completed the session (see page 23, par. 6 "Concerning teams that drop out").
  15. ALL MEMBERSHIPS MUST BE PAID IN CASH AND PAID BEFORE THE PLAYER PLAYS UNLESS YOU HAVE LEAGUE OFFICE APPROVAL. A MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION MUST BE FILLED OUT AND SIGNED.
